R is a powerful open-source programming language widely used for data processing, manipulation, analysis, and visualization. There are a number of well supported R packages specifically for analyzing and visualizing spatial data. In this course, you will learn how to work with spatial data in R using the RStudio interface. You will learn to perform many common spatial analysis tasks using points, lines, and polygons, as well as raster data types. This course contains over 60 lessons, with more than 8 hours of video instruction.
R Geospatial is for anyone interested in learning how to work with spatial data formats in R. No experience with spatial data is necessary to be successful in this course. If you have little or no experience with R, it is recommended that you first take our free R Basics with RStudio course, which will help lay the foundation for some of the R programming concepts in this course.
